Announcement of disciplinary decision:
- May prescribe opioids and benzodiazepines to inpatients. Treatment will not be continued by this physician following discharge unless it had been initiated by him prior to November 14, 2017.
- Must post a College sign in the waiting room and examination rooms advising patients of prescribing restriction.
- Will not provide new starts of opioids or benzodiazepines to office patients. New starts refer to treatment not already initiated by this physician.
- Permitted to provide refills of Methadone treatment where Methadone was initiated by him or another physician, but will not initiate new treatment of Methadone.
- May prescribe opioids and benzodiazepines in the Emergency Department setting for emergent care only. These prescriptions are limited to a maximum dose/amount and are not intended for ongoing treatment.
