Announcement of disciplinary decision:
The College of Physicians & Surgeons of Nova Scotia hereby gives notice that as a result of a complaint and pursuant to the Nova Scotia Medical Act, Dr. Martin Fleckenstein has agreed to a reprimand and is subject to conditions and restrictions specified in the decision. - Must post a College sign in the waiting room and examination rooms advising patients of prescribing restriction.
- Has undertaken to refrain from initiating new treatment of monitored drugs to any patient with the exception of residents of the Kings Rehabilitation Centre or providing refills for treatment not initiated by him on or before March 11, 2020. All prescriptions for monitored drugs for residents of the Kings Rehabilitation Centre will be reviewed by the Medical Director of the facility, or designate.
