  • Announcement of disciplinary decision:

    The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia hereby gives notice that as a result of a complaint and pursuant to the Medical Act, Dr. Bradley Atkinson has agreed to a reprimand and restrictions on his licence to practice medicine. The restrictions placed upon Dr. Atkinson’s licence are included in the attached summary. View further decision details

  • Announcement of disciplinary decision:

    The College gives notice of a Settlement Agreement reached between the College and Dr. Bradley Atkinson, approved by the Hearing Committee of the College on May 31, 2018. The written decision of the Hearing Committee with reasons for the approval of the Settlement Agreement will be provided when available and published on the College’s website when released. The effect of this Settlement Agreement is to immediately lift the suspension of Dr. Atkinson’s license to practise medicine imposed in June, 2016, permitting him to return to practice under restrictions as listed in the Settlement Agreement.   • Must comply with the College of Family Physicians of Canada's MainPro program for continuing professional development.
  • Practice shall be restricted to office based family medicine.
  • A notice of prescribing restrictions to be posted in the office practice waiting room in a place visible to all patients, at all times while holding a licence to practise medicine.
