Announcement of disciplinary decision:
The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia hereby gives notice that as a result of a complaint respecting the writing of an unsolicited opinion letter, Dr. Franklyn Vincent has agreed to a consensual reprimand, and to make a contribution to the costs of the College’s investigation. - Will have a nurse present in the clinic at all times while seeing patients. The nurse will be available to observe patients encounters at the request of the patient or physician.
- Patients must be divided with no fewer than one half scheduled family practice patients and no more than one half walk-in patients.
- Must post College provided signs in all waiting rooms and examination rooms advising patients of his Practice Monitor requirement
- Will not direct patients in any manner which would interfere with their ability to freely choose alternate or additional care from another health care professional. Will not direct patients to which pharmacy they should use to fill prescriptions.
- Will not discuss concerns about other physicians or involvement with the College with any patient, health care professional or other parties, other than those providing you with legal advice, those providing you direct confidential support, the police or other agents of the court on official business.
- Practice is limited to Bedford location only and may include walk-in services
- Patient volume is limited to 32 patients per day in a 9-hour shift
